    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Electroneurodiagnostic Tech (EEG) for Oklahoma's larget achedmeic center and only level 1 trauma center.  The neuroscientists provide cutting edge treatment and protocols for their patients and are in need of a Electroneurodiagnostic Tech to join thier team to help diagnose and treat patients.

     

    • Ideal candidates will be registered by the American Board of Registered Electrodiagnostic Technologists and will have prior experience caring for neuro patients in an academic medical center environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of neurodiagnostic and electroencephalographic procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders.

     

    Essential Responsibilities:

     

    • Will work with supervisor to learn how to prepare the patient for and explain the NCV/EMG procedure.  *Will be trained to obtain a brief history and identify nerves and muscles involved in the test.
    • Under direct supervision, will attach the electrodes and assist the neurologist by operating the equipment and recording results.
    • Will be trained to perform electroencephalographic (EEG) studies.
    • May be responsible for setting, adjusting and operating the equipment during procedure.
    • Will study and analyze the wave graph, making notations to indicate any disorder or artifact.
    • Will be trained to function in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. 
    • Maintain files on EMG and EEG procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Six (6) months of experience in direct patient care OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: BLS upon hire
    • .Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Ability to provide excellent patient care.   Some general knowledge of physiology.  Good verbal and written communication skills that allow the relaying of information in a clear, concise and calm manner.  Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with the staff and physicians.  Basic knowledge of computers
