    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our KC-135 BOSS program.  Position will be located at TSSC in Knoxville, TN. 


    Software Engineer shall follow accepted commercial developmental guidelines such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)/Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) 12207 for all new or modified software. In particular, for new or modified software design, standard software modules which can be used throughout the training system shall be employed whenever feasible. In addition, the KC135 BOSS training system software design follow structured model requirements and provide for expansion capabilities. Perform as the liaison between ANGB client and the KC135 BOSS program for all program software support and development needs for all training devices. Individuals shall possess a DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certification commensurate to category and level of the assigned position.



    The Responsibilities of this role are:

    • Maintain & document software development procedures as part of the KC135 BOSS program Software Development Plan (SDP).
    • Provide, implement, and maintain software development procedures for all program efforts using ISO/IEC/IEEE 15289:2015, and utilizing Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Systems Engineering/Software Engineering (SW) Capability Maturity Model Integration (SE/SW-CMMI) Level III or equivalent as a minimum.
    • Review and analyze non-aircraft related, proposed Class I software simulator changes.
    • Full lifecycle software development including; Requirements analysis and derivation, Software design and documentation, Unit and integrated software testing, Hardware / Software Integration (HSI), Writing and execution formal test documentation, and Support Configuration Management processes
    • Responsible for the design and implementation of the most efficient solution in accordance with ANG customer requirements.
    • Participate in working groups within and outside of TSSC in the development of object models in support of interoperability.
    • Must have a strong interest in lower level network interfaces, systems integration, real-time programming and object oriented software programming.
    • Expected to have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based development environments including latest MS Visual Studio and .NET and Linux based software development environments.
    • Must be able to perform effectively as part of a project "team".
    • Maintain site DMO-related hardware, software, encryption keys, and associated operations documents.
    • Conduct network connectivity testing and network operations for DMO.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    • Must have good knowledge of computer networks.
    • Knowledge of object oriented analysis, design, and implementation methodologies. Experience with object oriented frameworks like .NET and documenting object oriented design solutions using Universal Modeling Language (UML) is a plus.
    • Must have had formal software programming training classes or direct experience within the past 5 years in an object oriented language such as C#, C++, Java or Ada.
    • Related skill areas should include technical writing and presentation skills.
    • Knowledge of industry standards for interoperability such as High Level Architecture (HLA) (IEEE 1516) or Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) (IEEE 1278) is desirable.


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification REQUIRED

    Must have current DoD Personnel SECRET Security Clearance
