Education: Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Experience: 1.5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting which includes at least 6 months charge experience.
Possession of a valid temporary or permanent Oklahoma license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse prior to entrance on duty. (Permanent license must be obtained within 3 months of appointment). BLS certification required upon hire. Additional certification(s) may be required based on department assignment, see attachment for details.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, procedures and standards plus the principles of supervision. Skill in planning and organizing nursing care, applying advanced nursing clinical skills, maintaining records and charts, preparing written reports and in maintaining effective working relationships with others
