  • Overview

    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Senior Buyer to work for a privately owned Aerospace client just outside the Oklahoma City metro area. This Senior Buyer will assist the Procurement Manager as instructed and ensure all procurement activites are in accordance with established operating procedures and standards of ethical conduct. 




    • Assist, edit, prepare and placement of purchase orders within authorized limits with review of Procurement Manager.
    • Edit and prepare purchase requisitions for the Procurement Manager’s approval
    • Prepare RFQ packet for Procurement Manager’s review and approval and communicate with suppliers requests for quotation (RFQ)
    • Obtain the most economical costs at the acceptable quality level and desired delivery
    • Communicate with suppliers on order placement, expedites, invoice or shipping discrepancy, pickup and/or shipping schedule, returns, complaints or rejections, shipping information, pricing and availability
    • Keep specifications and supplier information updated
    • Assist in maintaining all necessary records of purchases, quotations, prices, deliveries, rejections, supplier scoring data, supplier performance data, sample requests, and update records as necessary
    • Type correspondence, monthly reports, achievement reports, and other material as required by the Procurement Manager.
    • Assist in coordinating necessary projects as directed by Procurement Manager to improve the overall efficiency of the purchasing and materials functions
    • Maintain teamwork relationships between Purchasing and he internal customers
    • Handle confidential or proprietary information with due care and proper consideration of ethical and legal ramifications and government regulations
    • Promote positive supplier relationships through courtesy and impartiality
    • Awareness of United Dynamics Inc.’s Quality Management System and conforming to the requirements of the QMS
    • Good communication skills


    Technical Requirements:

    • Min of 5 years experience in purchasing activities utilizing electronic data systems and be a Certified Professional Purchaser
    • Knowledge of manufacturing business applications and concepts
    • Knowledge of quality assurance philosophies, practices and techniques
    • APICS- Certified Supply Chain Professional


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
