    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Technical Analyst

    Responsibilities

    This role will work on field systems projects as the technical analyst/system analyst.  This includes in store systems such as DDI, stall experience, retail support systems, end-point delivery systems, etc.  A lot of the work will be coordinating business owner needs into user stores, but then breaking those stories into technical stories for both in house development teams and vendor development teams.  This person needs to be able to create wireframes, system integration diagrams, write detailed technical stories, with detailed testable actions.  This person should be working in lockstep with the Product Owner and Iteration Manager to run the iterations and groom the backlog. 

    • Works as a liaison between end-users, product management, and development to gather and document user requirements, translating them into user stories
    • Plans and conducts interviews with business owners and stakeholders
    • Collaborates with the development team to provide reasonable estimates for work products
    • Collaborates with development team to ensure design meets customer requirements
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, driving the discussion during sprint planning and user story grooming
    • Coordinates with technical writing team to ensure application documentation reflects current system functionality
    • Participate in technical architecture design and understand if the architecture fits the business requirements
    • Supports project team during design, development, and QA testing by clarifying requirements questions
    • Flush out business requirements including the UI mockups, details for any API contracts, queries for reporting & cross functional requirements

    Qualifications

    • Ability to use MS tools including Office, Visio, and Project
    • Facilitation skills
    • Analytical thinking and problem solving
    • Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy
    • Exposure to a variety of applications, environments, systems, and individuals, both at the systems level and in the trenches
    • Experience with modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
    • Should possess a good Technical knowledge of: 
      • Databases & queries (RDBMS or No SQL)
      • Basic Programming knowledge & ability to read code & tests
      • Webservices(SOAP & REST) contract definition & testing the same with tools like REST clients or SOAP clients
      • Understanding of QA Processes
      • Knowledge of Linux commands is a bonus
