  • Overview

    6+ month contractor Business Analyst position with a global leader in minning and minerals. 




    • Consolidate local reporting into global views, ensuring consistency of methodology across all sites
    • Preparation of monthly Management Business Reviews with scorecards, and validate data against available official data
    • Provide cost improvement project tracking and maintain consistency with projects used  for company-wide reporting
    • Identified as the subject matter expert on financial analysis for procurement
    • Provide support to local teams for project analysis such as “make versus buy” and “should cost” modeling
    • Maintain the database of Direct Materials and Energy price forecasts, including requested variance analyses including leveraging BPC or other global consolidation tool to standardize.
    • Participate in the market intelligence gathering process for Direct Materials and Energy, as well as the sharing of the company view with various functional groups
    • Provide analytical support for Materials and Supplies inventory management
    • Report and act on Procure-to-pay metrics
    • Provide support for audit remediation efforts, or other compliance needs
    • Participate in LCCS and any other special performance projects
    • Support contract reviews in terms of financial impact assessments


    Qualifications & Experience

    • 1 - 3 years of experience in the below.
    • Experience in a multinational with global business operations preferably in a chemical and or mining sector.
    • Clear and concise communication skills with ability to interact with Finance, Operating, Corporate Strategic and Business development managers at all levels including Executive staff.
    • Instantis Experience a plus
    • SAP, Financial Consolidations and Reporting Systems
    • Budgeting, Forecasting and Variance Analysis
    • Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint to craft presentation for Executive and Board of Directors review, Pivot tables
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities with strict adherence to deadlines.
    • BS Accounting, Engineering, Finance, advanced degree a plus
