    DRG Professional Services is partnered with Oklahoma’s largest and most comprehensive health system, offering expertise in more medical specialties than any other hospital system in the state. We are looking for a full time Registered Polysomnographic Technologists to support a AASM-accredited Sleep Disorder Center.

     

    Technologists will treat patients with complex syndromes and disorders in a state-of-the-art facility using cutting edge technology, resulting in experiences not available anywhere else in the state.  The patient demographic is blended between adult, pediatric and neonatal, giving technologists a broad range of experiences and skills with access to subspecialties. Based in a hospital setting, the AASM-accredited Sleep Disorder Center gives Technologists access to sub-specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, psychology, urology, otorhinolaryngology and more. Technologists can expect to work with two patients per evening and work rotating weekend shifts.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Under general supervision, will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.

     

    • Coordinates and assumes responsibility for ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality technical services and support in the sleep lab.
    • Provides patient care, appropriately operates equipment and carries out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions including but not limited to Polysomnographic Testing, CPAP Titration, and Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT).
    • Documents physiological activity and abnormal readings; provides a detailed report for the physician
    • Calibrates, maintains and cleans equipment used by the department
    • Utilizes appropriate patient/family teaching methods and ensures education needs are met for both pre and post procedures.
    • Serves as a preceptor for students and new employees
    • Demonstrate adherence to scoring parameters
    • Provides general oversight to Polysomnographic Technologist – Certified and Trainee staff members

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Registered PSGT with experience in adult or pediatric sleep lab OR CRT or RRT with 6 months of related experience.  If applying as a CRT or RRT must have current Oklahoma license.
    • Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist. BLS upon hire.
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of safety and maintenance of electrical equipment. Knowledge of sleep disorders and treatment. Experience operating equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Ability to explain technical information in such a way that a layperson can understand. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and prepare a written report. Good computer skills.
