    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst

    Responsibilities

    The Responsibilities of this role are:

     

    This role will work on all Corporate systems projects as the lead technical analyst/system analyst.  This includes financial systems (Infinium), Construction systems (Tango), Supply Chain systems (primarily built in house), Cognos, and a number of additional systems for HR, finance, etc.  A lot of the work will be coordinating business owner needs into user stores, but then breaking those stories into technical stories for both in house development teams and vendor development teams.  This person needs to be able to create wireframes, system integration diagrams, write detailed technical stories, with detailed testable actions.  This person should be working in lockstep with the PM to run the iterations and groom the backlog. 

    • Works as a liaison between end-users, product management, and development to gather and document user requirements, translating them into user stories
    • Plans and conducts interviews with business owners and stakeholders
    • Provides reasonable estimates for work products
    • Collaborates with development team to ensure design meets customer requirements
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, driving the discussion during sprint planning and user story grooming
    • Coordinates with technical writing team to ensure application documentation reflects current system functionality
    • Participate in technical architecture design and understand if the architecture fits the business requirements
    • Supports project team during design, development, and QA testing by clarifying requirements questions
    • Flush out business requirements including the UI mockups, details for any API contracts, queries for reporting & cross functional requirements

    Qualifications

     

     

    Skill Requirements (for new SOW’s):

    • BA Certification is preferred
    • Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred; experience is required
    • Strong Process Document Skills
    • Ability to use MS tools including Office, Visio, and Project
    • Facilitation skills
    • Analytical thinking and problem solving
    • Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy
    • Exposure to a variety of applications, environments, systems, and individuals, both at the systems level and in the trenches
    • Experience with modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
    • Basic Domain Knowledge of a few verticals like Finance, Retail, etc.
    • Should possess a good Technical knowledge of: 
      1. Databases & queries (RDBMS or No SQL)
      2. Basic Programming knowledge & ability to read code & tests
      3. Webservices(SOAP & REST) contract definition & testing the same with tools like REST clients or SOAP clients
      4. Understanding of QA Processes
      5. Knowledge of Linux commands is a bonus
