    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join the world's leading independent Aerospace product finishing company in Houston. The Recruiting Specialist manages the field and corporate recruitment processes and actively drives the timely hiring of personnel and close out of the prioritized open positions at each facility.


    This is a coporate position with work hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; additionally as needed.


    The Responsibilities of this role are:

    • Develops and deploys recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
    • Meets with managers to develop specific recruiting plans and establish timing and prioritized recruiting needs to drive business success and achieve the monthly operating targets.
    • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university, community college placement offices, local employment assistance agencies, temporary agencies and any other source of staffing necessary to generate qualified applicants.
    • Drives the overall company program for the timely fulfillment of open positions across all locations with qualified candidates. This will include interaction with the local site HR team, General Manager and/or others on the local Plant Leadership Teams.
    • Develops, tracks, owns and reports the Staffing Scorecard including metrics such as Turnover Rates, Time-to-Fill, # of Open Positions, etc.
    • Develops specific, detailed action plans to address the metrics that are not within the desired performance level.
    • Drives the efforts of employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees on a contingent basis.
    • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
    • Drives company efforts to improve messaging on the Internet and Social Media to further attract qualified candidates.
    • Maintain the master list of all open positions by location and job title. Provide the relevant
      information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
    • Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
    • Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.
    • Conducts reference and background checks.
    • Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
    • Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
    • Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
    • Participates in development of annual recruiting budget.



    •  Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school)


    • 2 plus years of experience in Recruiting
    • Must be Familiar with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
