    DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Corporate Sourcing Manager to join the world's leading independent Aerospace product finishing company in Houston. The Corporate Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing and procurement activities for the entire organization. This position will be required to develop and execute sourcing activities in an ongoing effort to maximize value, cost savings, and ensuring compliance. In addition, this position will outline the behavior of our organizational purchasing as it pertains to critical measurements such as: Preferred Supplier participation, rationalization of suppliers, supplier improvement and day-to-day
    activities supporting all facilities. 


    The Responsibilities of this role are:

    • Ensure a robust process is in place to purchase goods requisition, approvals, ordering, receiving and inventory management.
    • Develop approved vendors list for materials, equipment or supplies, and negotiate agreements to ensure enable availability and terms of sales.
    • Develop and deploy robust supplier scorecard process for Top 20 Vendors to drive accountability for On-Time Delivery, Product Quality, Service and Responsiveness and Adherence to Terms.
    • Deploy robust process for purchase requisitions and purchase orders for materials, supplies or equipment. Develop sourcing staff, and oversee organizational training.
    • Drive completion of a robust Inventory Management strategy and system to include Min/Max/Lead-Time driving replenishment strategies for top spend items and items deemed critical to business performance.
    • Ensure purchase order claims and contracts conform to company policy.
    • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
    • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management terms, instructions, policies, and procedures.
    • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, materials or substitute materials.
    • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
    • Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
    • Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
    • Review and evaluate activities of personnel engaged in buying materials, equipment and supplies.
    • Prepare bid awards requiring management or executive approval.
    • Develop analysis regarding market conditions, risk mitigation and spend.
    • Administer on-line purchasing systems.
    • Deploy robust process for management of surplus materials in advance of expiration.



    • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required


    • 10 plus years of experience in procurement with 5 years directing or managing corporate or division procurement organizations

    Other Requirements:

    • Familiar with business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Familiar with knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. Familiar with economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Familiar with principles and processes for providing customer and personal service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services,
      and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
