DRG Professional Services is currently seeking an Manufacturing Machining Engineer for an internationally recognized company in the aircraft industry.  Located in Stillwater, OK -  this position would support an organization who is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world. 


  • Definition of machining process including number of operations, clamping mode for all different operations, features to be machined within every operation, probing needs, etc. to meet customer specifications
  • Produce appropriate documents including validation sheets, control plans, work instructions
  • Establish cutting tool requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction projects
  • Provide technical support for production
  • Take lead role in introduction of new projects
  • Use problem solving techniques to improve quality and productivity
  • Monitors day to day production activities for complex machining/manufacturing processes and makes recommendations on material and/or labor reductions to promote efficiency of operation.
  • Understands and uses continuous improvement tools.
  • Develop robust, capable manufacturing processes for the machining of complex aerospace components
  • Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies where appropriate



  • 4-year Engineering Degree required from an accredited school, preferred, or equivalent experience


  • 4+ years manufacturing engineering experience leading and participating in complex machining projects.
  • Complex assembly experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge (and practice) in cutting tools, machine tools or potential to fast growing knowledge in cutting tools
  • Ability to solve machining problems using proven problem solving methods with little or no supervision
  • Understands and uses continuous improvement tools.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization while remaining customer oriented
  • Applies proven technology independently
  • Proficient in the use of statistical software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours depending on the need
  • Analytical thinking, rigorous, assertive, motivated
  • Experience using Catia V5
  • Must exercise care and safe work practices
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
