  • Overview

    Senior Supply Chain Manager will ensure overall direction for Supply Chain (Strategic Supply Management, Purchasing, Procurement, Material Planning, Receiving, Warehousing and Logistics) while creating and implementing a vision for continual improvement of procurement processes. This position exercises managerial and supervisory responsibilities over procurement and property control personnel and functions performed in strict accordance with applicable FAR/DFAR, DCMA, DCAA, ITAR, EAR and FAA Repair Station and ISO 9001:2008 regulations and established corporate polices, standards and procedures.


    • Ensures overall direction for Supply Chain (Strategic Supply Management, Procurement, Planning, Warehousing and Logistics) while creating and implementing a vision for continual improvement of procurement
    • Ensures processes comply with all Government, Corporate and Company requirements
    • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and agreements for long term products
    • Measure and manage vendor performances, identify trends, monitor cycle times and calculate yield (cost and quality)
    • Establishes disciplined, aggressive proposal evaluation teams with a strong supplier selection process, technical evaluation, certification of components to meet maintenance requirements and cost/price analysis
    • Directs and manages the implementation, maintenance, support and continuous improvement of Supply Chain Management operational programs (both CONUS and OCONUS) that will enhance profitability and service to customers
    • Ensures products and services obtained by the team meet quality, cost and schedule objectives in accordance with program and company requirements
    • Provides people leadership focused upon personal and collective accountability while fostering an environment that enhances personal growth and career development through mentoring and training, performance management and challenging the organization to strive for higher performance levels
    • Evaluates the internal performance for all aspects of supply chain and develop improvement plans including personnel, training, roles and responsibilities.
    • Monitors sourcing strategy implementation, contract compliance and customer satisfaction programs
    • Owns the process from proposal pricing until material ships and/or warehoused.


    Education and Certifiacations: 

    • Bachelors’ Degree in supply chain management, business or engineering or equivalent experience
    • Certification with NCMA at a minimum, APICS certification highly desirable.


    Technical Experience: 

    • Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in supply chain management
    • Five (5) years in the aerospace or defense industry procurement with advanced knowledge of aircraft illustrated parts catalog, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and engineering orders
    • Demonstration of expert knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
    • Significant experience throughout the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction through obsolescence to include: generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
    • Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program and/or commodity progress, productivity and variance analysis
    • Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics and manufacturing.
    • Expertise in DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulation compliance.
    • Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control
    • Must have a successful track record (minimum of five (5) years) in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities


    Leadership Experience: 

    • Must have excellent leadership and strong oral and written communication skills
    • Superior customer interface skills and strong interpersonal skills to successfully manage large, high-impact, multi-discipline teams
    • Expert leadership and management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
    • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills coupled with expert problem solving skills to ensure programs and deadlines are maintained.
    • Excellent presentation skills which exhibit a professional manner and attitude
    • Exhibits integrity when interfacing with business partners, suppliers, customers, competitors, government agencies or industry professional associations
