Overview

DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Field Sales Executive to prospect, qualify, and close software and service sales within an assigned territory for well known client in OKC that foucses on petroleum marketing and convenience store industries. Expectations are to develop a pipeline, manage to a defined issues-based sales methodolgy, and exceen monthly, quarterly, and annual gross profit quota targets.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities of this role are:

 

  • Work directly within an assigned sales territory to qualify opportunities and manage a complete sales cycle through to successful closure.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Build and manage relationships throughout the sales cycle and subsequent implementation to ensure referenceable accounts.
  • Maintain a pipeline sufficient to exceed monthly targets.
  • Initiate and follow prescribed sales cycles.
  • Develop and execute effective account development strategies.
  • Understand our customers’ and prospects’ organizational dynamics and probe to discover key decision makers and decision influencers.
  • Deliver issues-based sales presentations and articulate industry best practices.
  • Coordinate sales support activities with internal and external parties as appropriate.
  • Participate in sales and business training programs to continually improve industry knowledge, product knowledge and sales performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Measured Metrics / Activities

 

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual quota performance.
  • Pipeline updates and weekly accomplishment and forward planning reports

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience in accounting and back-office software preferred.
  • Experience with convenience store management and / or management of wholesale and retail fuels movement and commerce a big plus.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience working with issues-based sales methodologies.
  • Well-developed communication, persuasion, financial justification and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (business / sales / marketing / accounting / finance preferred).

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to plan and accomplish goals
  • Strong attention to detail and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team as well as individually
  • Sales and goal-oriented with a high level of energy and drive for achievement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. 
  • Professional and persistent demeanor

 

 

 

Work Environment

 

  • Work most often performed in office settings. 
  • Travel required – approximately 50 -75%. 
  • Moderate exposure to external environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, snow and ice.
