DRG Professional Services is currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for the oversight, management and accountability of the Marketing and Communications department including full-time, contract and seasonal staff and interns. This role will work to support the initiatives of the Oklahoma City Dodgers through brand development, awareness to drive ticket sales and fan engagement during Dodgers games. Director will be responsible for synergy across marketing platforms including but not limited to print, broadcast, social media, radio, PlayBall! game program, and in-game entertainment.


The Responsibilities of this role are:


  • Complete oversight of the Marketing and Communications department, including budget management, development of team members and organizational strategies.
  • Develop and implement a 12-month marketing plan to ensure the determined goals of the organization are met.
  • Implement a grass roots marketing strategy that utilizes all available resources.
  • Develop strategy to increase revenue in areas such as online and single game ticket sales, special events, online team store and OKC Dodgers Baseball Foundation fundraising.
  • Oversee the game presentation to provide a first-class fan experience that also fulfills the marketing and partnership objectives of the team.
  • Drive the collaboration with all departments to create insightful and consistent strategies to achieve their specific goals.
  • Represent the Marketing and Communications department in Department Head Meetings and All Staff opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, manage and lead direct reports including execution of one-on-one meetings with each team member.
  • Ultimate oversight of all external marketing relationships.
  • Create marketing strategy for Bedlam Series, Big 12 Championship, LifeShare WinterFest and other non-baseball events as acquired.
  • Develop and maintain media relationships for the creation of earned media opportunities.
  • Model and enforce the Five Core Business Strategies and Team Operating Principles.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  •  Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in sports, entertainment, advertising, media, marketing or related field in the sports industry required.
