The Mobility Deployment Manager (MDM) ensures mobility requirements, scheduling, programming, and unit type code (UTC) are prepared and ready for immediate deployments.


  • Assist RQSs by providing management of unit’s mobility program.
  • Ensure squadron personnel meet world-wide mobility training and records requirements to include:
  • Confer with squadron leadership to determine mobility requirements overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials.
  • Maintain inventory reports and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required materials and squadron mobility priorities.
  • Responsible for oversight of mobility equipment packing and locates and moves equipment and material within squadron areas using cart or hand truck to expedite processing and will identify equipment shortfalls to the Logistics Flight Commander.
  • Responsible for the unit’s War Reserve Mobility (WRM) program to include: storage and serviceability of mobility containers, pallets, and netting.
  • Operates forklift and/or directs forklift operators to expedite movement of ISU containers and pallets between squadron storage and marshalling/delivery areas.
  • Provide a monthly WRM status report to the 23 Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander and Unit Commander the 2ndWednesday of each month.
  • Manage the pilot unit RT-01 (Recovery Team “Guardian Angel”) Unit Type Codes. Contractor Mobility Deployment Manager is responsible for coordinating UTC change requests through 23rd Wing/ XP.
  • Final validation and accuracy of squadron Time Phase Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) 90 days prior to all deployment departures to ACC/A303.
  • Responsible for providing all mobility documentation, to include: Load Lists, Hazardous Declaration Forms (HAZDEC), shipping placards, Duty Availability Code (DAV), and packing lists.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Knowledge of principles, policies, and procedures of Air Force mobility programs, training requirements, mobility computer systems to include Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Single Mobility System (SMS), Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS), Commander Tool Kit (CCTK), reporting procedures, coordinating TPFDD requirements, and knowledge of equipment build-up and marshalling of equipment to the CDF is mandatory.

Education and/or Experience

  • For entry into this position, completion of high school or general educational development equivalency is mandatory. Competence with computer systems to include MSWord, Excel, Outlook and others mentioned in this PWS is essential.

For entry of position, completion of a military Logistics Planner course is preferred, or as a minimum, individual shall have direct experience as a unit mobility manager.

  • Be forklift certified and be physically able to operate unit’s forklift in accordance with AFI 24-301.
